This handmade ceramic tea cup is created in Melbourne by Japanese artist Naru Kobuta.
Each piece is individually shaped and hand-painted, featuring the gentle characters Mushroomee, Gloo and Bubbu. The form embraces a slightly naive, playful silhouette that celebrates the warmth of handcraft.
Naru independently researches and develops her own clay and glaze recipes, resulting in a soft, tactile surface and subtle crackle textures unique to this series.
No two cups are identical — each one carries its own quiet personality, designed to bring a small moment of joy to everyday tea rituals.
